The Beginning
Last year whilst i was doing my BA at ACU i took an arts minor and this was my final major work. I was never one to be good at oil painting but still managed to learn and pull off this triptych. The subject was micro to macro where i took sections of the floral images i found and exploded a section to create my artwork.
The Parthenon, a great piece of architecture and history. Being Greek myself it may seem biased that i see this as a great piece of architecture but i doubt you can argue, although it has been looted, sacked twice throughout history and destroyed partially whilst trying to be restored, the Parthenon still stands tall. I had the luxury of going to Greece last year to visit family but also great sites such as this one.
One of the most beautiful things I've come across is a sea apple. I am a marine hobbyist having had fish tanks since i was a boy and marine tanks for the past 2-3 years. I currently have two tanks, a 6ft 680L mixed reef and a 2ft 140L dedicated Snowflake eel tank. A sea apple is one of the most beautiful creatures in the ocean, full of vibrant colours and fascinating shapes but despite being beautiful they are extremely delicate and release deadly toxins when stressed or damage which is why i am yet to keep one.
